In 2016 I received the Thesis Award of the International Association for Inter-American Studies. In giving me this award, the association honored my postdoctoral thesis. The monograph is titled “Lone Star Vistas: Constructions of Texas in U.S. American, Mexican, and German Travel Narratives, 1821-1861.” It analyses how travelogues from these three countries depicted Texas in the mid-19th century.

The book will appear in spring 2021 with The University of Texas Press. I am excited to see the book in print. You can already check out my table of contents: TOC-Lone Star Vistas
